Lewisville Theatre Boosters is a non-profit organization comprised of dedicated parents, directors, students, and community members. The Lewisville Theatre Booster Program helps support ALL Lewisville High School Theatre productions, activities, and competitions (UIL) through fundraising and volunteer help. We want to help EVERYONE Step Into The Light!

 

What does the Booster Program Do?

• Raises money to assist with monetary needs of the theatre program not funded by LHS or the LISD district.

• Awards camp and college scholarships to deserving theatre students with some of the money raised.

• Supports the efforts of our theatre classes and events where needed including but not limited to, ticket sales, fundraising, transportation, communication, promotions, technical needs and back stage activities.

• Facilitates positive communication between the Boosters, LHS, the directors, parents/guardians and students.

• Provides rewarding opportunities for parents/guardians to participate in their student’s high school theatre experience.

• Allows the community of Lewisville to join in supporting the arts as financial contributor and/or volunteering to help with events.

 

How Do We Do That?

• We raise money through special booster merchandise, fundraising events, general merchandise sales, concession sales, corporate sponsorships & generous donations.

• We help organize and communicate to make certain every theatre activity is represented, and fellow parents, supporters and the local community receive necessary information.

 

Where Does the Money Go?

• 100% of money raised goes directly to support Lewisville High School Theatre student activities with the exception of replenishing concession and merchandise sales at cost price.

• Booster Program board members or volunteers do not receive any monetary or merchandise reward. All Booster Program participants are volunteers and are never compensated.

• Money raised is used to assist with transportation, costumes, printing, supplies and each production’s unique needs as requested and approved.

 

Become Involved in the Lewisville Theatre Booster Program

Please take an active role to help us enhance the experience for all our LHS Theatre students. Consider becoming a Lewisville Theatre Booster Program volunteer or financial supporter. Your attendance and participation at Booster Meetings are vital to enhancing student programs and staying informed.

**Please note that you do not have to have a student at LHS or and student in the Theatre program to participate in the Booster Program. If you love the theater, want to help students and our Directors, and like to volunteer in your community please consider being a part of the Booster Program.

• Lewisville Theatre Booster Program Meetings will be posted on the Production Calendar each month and advertised through social media and a monthly newsletter. Meetings take place in the auditorium area at Lewisville High School Main Campus.

• Please be sure to fill out the the Lewisville Theatre Booster Program Form every year so we have updated contact information and know about your desire to participate as a volunteer at events. The form also offers ways to support through financial donations or purchases if you choose but it is not required. LISD does require all volunteers to have a background check through the Voly App before helping at an event. For questions or more details email us at lhstbp@gmail.com.
